Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using PauPau, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

PauPau is a short-form video sharing platform organized into private rooms. Videos you post are shared with the members of the chosen room for 24 hours. You can upload videos up to 18 seconds long. After 24 hours, your videos move to a private archive that only you can access.

3. User Accounts

• You sign in with a passkey (WebAuthn). You may optionally register an email address to recover your account if you lose your devices
• You are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping your passkey secure
• You must be at least 13 years old to use the service

4. Rooms and Invites

• Content is shared within rooms. You join a room using an invite code shared by an existing member, and each room holds up to 12 members
• The owner of a room may remove members from it
• Do not share invite codes with people you do not intend to give access to your rooms

5. User Content

• You retain ownership of the videos you upload
• By uploading content, you grant PauPau a license to display and distribute your videos to the members of the room you post to for 24 hours
• After 24 hours, videos are no longer visible to room members and are kept in your private archive until you delete them

6. Prohibited Content

You may not upload content that:

• Is illegal or promotes illegal activity
• Contains hate speech, harassment, or threats
• Contains sexually explicit material or nudity
• Infringes on the intellectual property rights of others
• Contains spam or misleading information

7. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page; deletion removes your profile, videos, passkeys, username and room memberships, and cannot be undone.

8. Disclaimer

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not responsible for any content uploaded by users.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PauPau shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
